Who We Are
CARING for Children first opened the ACE program (Assessment-Counseling-Education) in 2001. Since then, the outpatient mental health clinic has helped thousands of Western North Carolina residents find strength, understanding, and healing by providing quality services and personalized care.
The program was originally developed to serve CARING for Children’s young clients, but now provides services to both youth and adults. Over the years, The CARING Clinic has become a valuable resource in our local community. The CARING Clinic is open to the public and has over 20 mental health professionals that provide comprehensive assessments, counseling, and medication management services to children, families, and adults in a friendly, home-like setting.
Who We Serve
Children, Families and Individual Adults are welcome! We are currently accepting new patients for outpatient counseling, comprehensive assessments, consultations, and medication management with therapy services. See referral form and instructions at the bottom of this page.
In addition, we offer integrated, in-house services through Asheville Pediatric Associates and Asheville Children’s Medical Center and work with local school systems to bring mental health services into our community!
To better serve our community, The CARING Clinic accepts the following health insurance plans: NC Health Choice, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Health Smart, Medcost and HealthScope (Mission Hospital Employees Only).
